Getting a sparky in soon to replace a few lights in the house before I decorate, and thought I might ask about whether there's a better extractor fan to the one that I currently have installed in the kitchen, and whether anyone has any recommendations?

This one is 15.5cm across if that makes a difference. If it's not possible to get anything better then I'll not bother, but I assume there must be given it'll likely be some cheap crap that the builder put in when the house was built.

Thanks in advance!

Most of these kind of fans are all much of a muchness. Some are slightly better than others but vent axia ones are normally better ones tbh anyway. Only real upgrade to them is an inline fan which goes in your loft and just a grille on the ceiling instead. Inline ones are a lot more powerful.

Any chance of changing it for an inline fan if there is an accessable void above?

Thanks for the replies smile

I'll check out that envirovent fan.

As for inline, not sure, I don't know where the kitchen vents out to, but not sure it's the loft, I would have to investigate. Although we do have a fan in the upstairs bathroom which does vent through the loft, so maybe...
