I've purchased 240v main garden uprights 8w led. To connect them up I'm using a core electrics T connector. The cable I'm using is 1.5mm but the connector is 4mm. I'm obviously going to have a moisture gap so any advice please.

Which part do you think is 1.5mm and which part do you think is 4mm? You may not have a gap at all once you put it together. They usually allow for a range of cable diameters. 4mm is a fairly rare cable diameter for a flexible round mains cable.

Tip: if it doesn't come with them, get some Wago connectors to make life easier. And safer.

Tighten up the compression glands and see if they grip the cable when it's in place.

Can you get some relatively thick walled heat shrink tubing to increase the cable thickness where it passes through the gland?

Ok my mistake it tightens up and grips the cable the first one I had seems to be broken and won't do it. Thanks
