New patio furniture which I think is powder coated of some sort and number 3 son just put a marble heat stand on it and has managed to do this. Ffs!

It doesn’t feel like it s gone through the paint, actually it hasn’t but any idea what to use on it to make it a bit better.

Other half is livid.

I'd just live with it. Come Tuesday evening, it'll be a distant memory.

Can you take the slats out and turn them over? Or move their positions so its random and spread out

Magic sponge says it can damage powder coating as it’s abrasive?

Meguiars scratch x might do a job of making it less obvious? I guess it depends on whether this is just a one coat finish and whether it’s through the paint.

I thought a try with super resin polish might be worth it, I just don’t want to make it worse.

A light rub might be ok, use at own risk :-)

Or anything else that would fill it or tone it down.

Quick test would be wetting it.

If I were you I’d use the marble heat stand to recreate the scratch on the underside of the table, then you can try various methods to see what works best before being confident you won’t make the visible scratch worse.

Contact the retailer or manufacturer and try to get the RAL code and have a touch up pen made?

Hard to see from the pic, but is it actually scratched, or has the marble thingy left something on the finish? Would a clay bar and a polish sort it out?

Chancing it looking worse with abrasives, could try a hidden part though.

OR how about trying a Vinyl wrap
