I'm going to be renting a tower for some facia work.

I'm not sure what height I need though.

I need to assume I can get high enough to have access onto the roof but not fully as I'm only doing eaves protectors.

Help!

'As high as the eaves' sounds like a good plan to me, if you want to get to the eaves.

Or a few feet less, so you’re working at chest height. No need to exactly match the height of the eaves.

A tape measure is your friend.

Tower scaffold heights are measured to the platform, but you need to take into account the handrail which is (I think) 900mm - one metre high. You probably need a platform level about 1.5m below your eaves level so that you can reach comfortably but also that the handrail’s not blocking your access to the eaves.

working height will be eaves height. in my experience they quote working height and that will be 5 ft higher than the platform

You're very tall smile

If you mean eaves height then I would go for the handrail one size below, in this case 5.2m.

Or just pay a vagabond with a ladder?
