Anyone cut a composite sink?
Discussion
In summary I need to cut the flange on a composite by 10mm and wondered if anyone had done it before?
I’m a little scared but I’ve not got any other options because all good under-mounted sinks are 460 wide and I need 440.
The flange is 30mm and only going to be adhered to the quartz worktop so I don’t need all that 30mm.

Not done it myself but options would seem to be (from least to most aggressive)
- handsaw
- jigsaw
- table saw
- circular saw
- angle grinder with ?? Blade
If it was me I’d try a hand saw (fine tooth, maybe fret or hacksaw) for a few strokes to see how it “bit”, and take it from there.
I recommend something like these in order to support the sink underneath.

Wonder if a router with a guide edge is the way to go here.
Could the worktop company trim it for you?
That would be my 1st port of callCould the worktop company trim it for you?
Top level worktop company will be used to cutting all sorts of stuff… pop in and have a chat with them. Maybe they’ll do it for you with the CNC machine.
