Fruits are clingstone, make good jam but the stones are a faff .. no one I ve asked can positively identify the tree though any one know?

I was going to say plum (nice by the way), but then didn't realise we were going super specific in terms of variety!

Have you tried the PictureThis app - you take a pic of any plant and it'll identify it in seconds.

Not sure if it'll do varieties of fruit but I don't see why it wouldn't - maybe give it a download and have a go, they'll have a free 3 day trial on it for sure and its very accurate.

Ah! No idea, Victoria? Probably help to know the colour of the flesh and the flowers. Are they nice to eat?

Hi Bill nice to eat but not tried straight off the tree… makes good jam… recently bought a food mill to help with clingstones…. I have Victoria plums and damsons in the garden too, have to say the damson jam is phenomenal smile

We bought a plum de-stoner when we lived in a place with an abundance of plum trees. Used to spend hours de-stoning and then bottling in various alcoholic liquids for the next year.
