Painting a metal garage door

If so I'd be pleased to hear your experience of it; products used; method used etc.

Folding up and over metal door, Was rusty in the areas near the folding hinged areas. Good wire brushing, treated with rust killer and painted with a special metal garage door paint from Screwfix.
All rusty again.

Galvanised steel or aluminium?

Ali up and over door here. Just knocked off the dirt and painted. First time with so called "Special garage door paint" from one of the DIY sheds and last time with white smooth Hammerite. The Hammerite paint is far better than the specialist paints and simply wipes down with a sponge if it gets dirty. It has also lasted far longer - been done at least 8 years ago and still looks like new.

I'm going to do it soon. I've used Zinsser All Coat on upvc windows and doors, along with some other metal trim bits on the garage and it's looking as good as it did when done about 3 years ago so will be using it on the door.
