We have some metal paint tins that have been damaged by opening and closing. Can anyone recommend an easy open tin / plastic container that I can transfer the paint I can buy online. Many thanks

30 secs searching on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/sourcing-map-Plastic-Gall...

But you'd have to be careful not to get paint on the threads.

And another: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BHHJ2ZKM

In fact dozens of options are coming up: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08VF2GMRV

Clingfilm should give you a seal.

I'm currently using these food storage containers, with the rubber seal in the lids. I haven't reopened one yet to see how the paint is, but with them being clear I can tell the paint certainly looks ok

first how expensive is your paint you consider spending that much on a storage container? secondly surely its only metal tins that get damaged, just bash them back straight with a hammer, every time I open a tin of paint the lid bends and I just bash it back flat as part of the process of putting the lid back on.

This, then store upside down. If it skins it'll be at the bottom of the can when you open it again

I get small jerry cans off eBay and then use a funnel to decant the paint, bit of a pain but makes it simple whenever you need the paint

Doesn't fix a knackered tin but what I do is carefully wipe the edges if tin and lid and wipe some Vaseline around them before putting the lid back on. It's a faff but works a treat.
