We've a light unit over the shower and the bulb seems to have dimmed a little and is now flashing too.
Tried removing it in the same way as a GU10, push & turn, but while it has some spring it doesn't want to break free.
Before I inadvertently break something how do I remove it and is it a special bulb due to location?
May be able to access from above.
Thanks in advance

As it is over a shower, it should be low voltage, which means it is almost certainly LED, lots of them do not have a bulb, they are a sealed unit.

The photo I took this morning to accompany this question but forgot to attach it. And they let me loose with tools,

12v on two pins. It'll pull straight out.

Is it one of these fans with integrated light?
https://www.hib.co.uk/products/cyclone-wet-room-in...

If so it says they can supply replacement lamps and presumably advise how to do it!

It does look very similar, I'll get onto them on Monday morning.
Thanks

The definition for Low Voltage (LV) according to UK wiring regulations could cause confusion here...

Low Voltage (LV): Between 50V and 1000V AC or between 120V and 1500V DC. This is the range for most common electrical appliances, sockets, and lighting in homes and businesses.

Many 230V/240V mains voltage downlight lighting fixtures are IP65 rated and are suitable for installation in shower zone 1 and shower zone 2.

It's taken a while but I'm back onto this.

As was suggested it looked like a HIB unit although seeing the price of them I doubt it, just something similar I suspect.
I wrote to them and they suggested that on theirs, the fascia needs to be removed to extract the bulb. They also suggested it may be the LED driver at fault.
It was suggested that the fascia unscrewed but short of whacking it with a hammer and chisel it doesn't seem as it it wants to come off.

Hib's local distributor hadn't one in to look at and the local (national) electrical factors just shrugged his shoulders and said if I get the bulb out he can sell me a replacement.

So today I approached the unit from the top, see photos.

The central section looks like it may pull out but cannot be sure
Why are there 3 little transformers for the light, most downlighters I've seen only have one. One a separate LED driver?

Quite prepared to replace the entire unit, if I can find out how to get it out of the ceiling. There's no obvious screws, so it's either an interference fit or the chrome front comes off. Now gone full circle with this thing.

The front should twist off.
Its probably just full of crud.
I would just try giving the fitting a good soaking in bathroom cleaner let it soak in for a few minutes and twist it off.
It may be a right hand thread
The screws will be behind the fascia.

Yes that's the plan just doesn't seem to want to give at all. Will give it a clean as suggested. Then a light (no pun intended) tap.
It doesn't look particularly strong plastic.

It's odd that you can't see screws in the loft. Is it just single thickness of plasterboard - to me it looks a bit like hardboard in the picture?

It's a plasterboard ceiling with a plastic cladding. Good point about not seeing the screws or the plugs into which the screws will have hopefully been screwed

Tried tapping, drifting it around - no go. Soak in cleaner- easy peasy.
Thanks Sherman

Screwfix have the bulb, hope it's that as after that I'm a little Lost. Presumably one of the three little boxes on the supply. Any offers as to what each is?
I'm old school 230V, ring mains, spurs etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if the two at each end are terminal boxes, with the driver in the middle enclosure.
