Getting pen out of a nylon shirt.

One of my children has got this pen on his favourite white sports top. Nylon I think. Boss.


Rubbing alcohol and this sticky stuff remover won’t even touch it.

It’s a line, not a splodge.

Any ideas chaps please?

Apparently a water based ink, they have suggestions for removal.

Usually the best thing for removing pen ink is undyed methylated spirits.

To my surprise, milk is actually getting rid of it. The pen maker suggests Clorox 2 to finish the job, but we don't have it. Is there anything we MIGHT have that would do?

Vanish powder, wet pen area rub powder on and leave for a while. Then wash as normal, add some vanish to the wash cycle.

A biro leaked in my wife's short pocket and badly stained both her shirt and bra.

Google suggested hairspray. After lots of spraying and blotting and a wash it was completely gone, I didn't expect it to work at all tbh

Milk wasn't exactly the obvious solution - definitely not on my list! - but luckily they'd thrown out an FAQ.
