I have a Midea split system fitted. It’s mounted above sliding doors from my lounge into a back/garden room.
Because of this the water that gets created as a by product of air cooling has to be sucked up into the roof(bungalow) then across the attic and down outside into a drain.

It needs a pump to do this. The pump is a pain in the aris as it makes a loud buzzing noise in operation every few minutes while it does this.

Was wondering if there was a quieter pump that could be used?

Would need to find someone to then install.

Or maybe I could connect the drain pipe via a 2 way valve thingy and have a bit straight down from the unit above the sliding doors into a gallon container on the floor and let the water drain via gravity? Obviously I’d need to watch the level to not flood the lounge.

Any tips welcomed.

Thanks

Send the drain below the floor, then out through the wall into a back inlet gulley.

Concrete floors so can’t be done.

Makes it slightly more work but you can core down and core from the outside smile

Our condensate pump failed so, as it was very hot, our guy piped it into a bucket...
I reckon it produces around FIVE gallons a day (as I have to bail out the bucket several times during the day).
I did a bit of searching and the pump I found was nice and quiet but failed after a few weeks so a new one is on order - hopefully it's a one off failure!!

The pump I found was - Blue Diamond MaxiBlue X87-703 Condensate Pump for Air Conditioning.

We await the replacement!!
