New Build Snag Survey

Son is in the process of purchasing a new build by Cala homes. On the face of things everything looks fine, and they cover all warranty work personally for the first two years (small site 20ish homes).

I wanted to check who is the best new build snag surveyors in the South West region (Surrey), and what’s the difference between a snagging report and pre-completion report?

Many are suggesting a snag can be done post completion, but do feel as though this should be done ahead of time?
