Black uPVC windows...not black/brown!
Discussion
We seem to be struggling a bit to get a proper black uPVC window supplier. Many companies do a very dark brown colour (sometimes knows as blackbrown or schwarzbrun, RAL8022) but we need proper black for a number of reasons (matching existing garage doors & ally french doors).
Has anyone got any decent manufacturers/suppliers or any experience here?
Thanks!

I had a similar issue recently. Wanted black, specified black, but they edited it to this darkbrown colour instead. "We thought that's what you'd want". No, I want what I wrote on the spec, which I know you can supply, and that matches the black bifold doors I've just ordered from you too. Idiots.
Anyway, afraid I can't help with UPVC colour from suppliers I ended up using, but these guys appear to manufacture black upvc windows and have various suppliers round the country:

We only got one window in black uPVC window in the renovated part of the house, rest is black Alu. Honestly cannot tell the difference between uPVC and Alu inside or outside unless you are next to the frame.
All the windows were supplied by local company in Leicestershire.

^That's the sales pitch used on us to go for Ali glazing. The black uPVC window is West facing so gets little direct sun, if genuinely looks like the Ali windows unless you get really close.
Costwise the Ali windows were more than double to triple the cost. I'm not massively convinced they are worth that much extra over uPVC, though the Ali front door is nice and solid compared to the old wooden door.

I know someone who insisted on black uPVC double doors and they couldn t shut them into afternoon sun.
White uPVC moves lots too, so I'd imagine black will really creep. But if it isn't seeing direct sun maybe not such an issue.Other question would be how fade resistant different suppliers products are? Assuming we're talking paint or foil to give it the colour? Pure black is probably the least forgiving finish possible so you want to be sure it's going to stay that colour.
