I have a Lay-Z-Spa and have been debating what to do now that the weather is generally colder (although the past couple of days have been great).

Would be okay to switch the pump off and leave it? To be honest, I' rather not empty it as I don't really have anywhere to store it (it's a rigid walled, 'Helsinki' version). Besides, I just know it'll have mould on it by the time I'm ready to use it again. My thinking is that the chlorine in it and the cover fastened down will do the job?

I normally leave mine out. No major problems. I do leave it filled as when empty with the lid on with rain water there is unnecessary stress on the walls. Saying that I found room in my shed and for the first time put mine down this year.

Worst impact i've had was the top bar on the led display on the pump went, no biggie could still read the numbers.

Depends how long your leaving it, I have left mine off for a few weeks covered and with big chlorine dose and it has been ok but any longer and it will start to go green.
Best to empty if longer term but I prefer using it in the cold.
