Quick question.

We have a wardrobe in our old house which we are just sorting out.

In the past it has had some damp on the one external wall.

I know the best option is to ventilate but the door is really nice and I don't want to cut into it if I don't have to.

Would it be a good ideal to celotex (and plasterboard) the external wall?

Warm the room (ideallly put a radiator in the wadrdrobe)
Reduce moisture levels.
Insulate a cold wall.
Ventilate the space.

Warm moist air hits cold wall in enclosed space = condensation

If you have the space cut some holes into the rear panels and screw on some vents, heat the room and ventilate well - we have gone one step further and run a dehumidifier through winter though we are in a bungalow which are renown for damp and high moisture levels

Thanks all. Sounds like celotext is worth doing.
