Went to turn on my Titan yesterday and it had a split second of power then died.

I've not taken it apart yet but any ideas or is this fubar?

It had a good run.

At this price its not worth the hassle of fixing unless its just a filter needing cleaned or a fuse needing replaced.

Without knowing what a Titan wet/dry is, I would suspect if it started and then suddenly stopped a fuse has blown. Is it possible it is wet where it should be dry?

It hasnt been used since the last time i used it fine. It sat about for a week so maybe it got damp.

Ill do some diag and see if simple and as said if it isnt obvious purchase a new one.

Its had about 5 years of abuse

Check the flex just where it enters the appliance, might just have had one too many flexes and be broken inside.

Fuse just sounds the most likely, there's not much in the rest of it that can just fail and the pattern of a very brief start then failing is a classic fuse thing.

The motor & switch don't really fail instantly like that & if it was the cable I'd expect it to go intermittent first not just have died.

It's funny, ours did the same a couple of weeks ago. I haven't got around to looking at what's wrong with it yet.

Ours has done pretty well for a £50 vacuum cleaner, surviving about 15 years of abuse running extraction for tools, etc. so I wont be too upset if I need to replace it!

ITS ALIVE

I took it apart, turned it on when it was down to the motor, came on then I shat myself lol.

Seems to live another day, I wonder if it got dislodged somehow on the switch.
