Pressure washer
Discussion
Currently have an old Karcher, it’s around 15yrs old and still works fine.
Usual Christmas gift convo with the wife I thought maybe in exchange for her handbag this year maybe I could get a pressure washer upgrade.
Started looking and went down a bit of a rabbit hole.
Question now is keep a trolly style portable type or go wall mount (at a bigger cost).
What’s everyone got?

Older Karchers are pretty decent compared to the plastic impeller crap of today.
I have a Nilfisk which is OK, but my next one will be AVA who currently have a 25%BF offer right now.
I was looking at the Ava washers, they look good, 20yr warranty is great as well. I have a Nilfisk which is OK, but my next one will be AVA who currently have a 25%BF offer right now.
Ava Black Friday sale seems a bit s
te, not much actually on sale or with much off. But I did see this which is in my shortlist. https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/products/ava-o...
Only issue I have is the hose supplied is 8meter length, I have a 15 meter now and I know I’d spend another £140 on a 20m one off them. So that’s £500….better than other a wall mount !?
Bigboi wall mount also appealing. https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/products/bigbo...
Also looked at Kranzle offerings - very expensive.

I went AVA about 5 years ago. They have been brilliant. A couple of issues no quibble spare parts despatched for free. New trigger handle and a free snow foam pot and gun. They have this thing about being maintainable.
Are you using the service kit to keep the warranty going? I think it’s quite inexpensive. Leins said:
I went Nilfisk portable on recommendation from a detailer friend of mine, who wasn t a fan of Karcher. Had it for a good few years now and works really well for me
Had discounted them and the current karcher ones as apparently they are made of cheaper parts now. In disbelief that my current Karchers still running tbh, I use it weekly including some tough slog lengthy driveway cleaning.
I had a Nilfisk 140e for about a decade and it babbed itself recently so replaced with a 145e.
I too went down a rabbit hole and soon selected a £1000 Kranzle as the 140's replacement. But sat on it for a few days to allow myself a moment to realise that would be moronic, and settled with the 145 for about £260. At some point ill replace its hoze, but expect it to last a while and function as well as the old one.
But if the wife is paying f
k it go wild. Get that Kranzle.

Haha easy to get carried away and convince yourself you need the £1k machine. I too went down a rabbit hole and soon selected a £1000 Kranzle as the 140's replacement. That is rather erotic tbf ! Yeah it’s up there but so it’s the price!
Hose a bit shorter than I’d like also.

No connection with them other than satisfied and couldn’t justify some of the dearer Kranzel type options.

I’m keen on the Ava evolution range.
But those kranzle ones…Mmmmm a bit of man maths required:
Say I paid a grand for a top of the range kranzle ‘if’ it lasts me 15yrs like the old Karcher has, and I use it once a week, that’s 780 washes. Only £1.28 a wash. Considerably cheaper than using the Albanian soapy drive through

Kranzle, not cheap but so so good.
We use pressure washers at work, and my lads abuse them so much, we were going through a Karcher every 6 months, same with Nisfisk, think that’s what they called, blue in colour.
Moved to Kranzle, been over 2 yrs now of daily use with no issues.
I also have a “Hobby Kranzle” at home and it’s very very good.
