Loft Hatch - can I prime this?

Have a 35091 ll1t timber loft access kit, the door appears to be covered in some kind of melamine which isnt brilliant white. Can I use Dulex uniprimer to prime/undercoat this before painting it?

There are universal primers that work very well. There is a specific one used before painting melamine kitchen units which works pretty well. I’m sure you will find it if you google it.

Hit it with Zinsser. Sorted.

Super grip primer is what you need.
