Hi, looking for manual, blackout blinds for velux windows . I am aware velux sells them but do so many other companies like blinds2go etc at cheaper price. I don't know if they cover full window for complete blackout. Anyone has experience with these alternative blinds and would you recommend?.

Also is condensation a big problem with blinds being so close to the glass (this will be the case for all brands including Velux) ?

Thank you for reading my post

Blinds 2 Go blackout blinds for Velux windows are absolutely fine. Fit great, work well no issues. I have just fitted half a dozen to our house. They are considerably cheaper than the Velux version.

Another vote for blinds2go here, absolutely fine and a fraction of the price.

If you're going ultra high end it might be worth looking at the real ones.

We have 3 velux windows. The original velux blinds were very expensive, but high quality. Unfortunately, after about 15 years, one broke and so I decided to buy a “velux type” replacement. It lasted about 6 months, it was complete crap. When I replaced it, I bought another genuine velux blind, it is brilliant! Easy to fit and works perfectly. I appreciate that other people may have bought perfectly adequate blinds from other companies, but don’t make my mistake and buy an unsatisfactory copy. I should add that my original velux blinds are over 20 years old and still work perfectly.
Good luck with your search.
