Worcester cdi 34 return manifold leak - advice
Discussion
Hi Forum,
I have a leak on my boiler - slow weep from return manifold.

Looks like copper pipe into a daily push fit looking thing with a simple spring clip to retain.
So my question - does anyone know if this should be a fairly straightforward fix? Am tempted to give it a blast assuming it’s a) not silly and b) no where near the gassy bits (looks very much not)..
Any advice from the forum?
Thanks!

I’d shield that lower sensor well from water.. then :-
1. Power OFF the boiler
2. Let it cool fully
3. Drop system pressure
• Bleed a radiator or use drain point
• Aim for 0 bar on the gauge
4. Remove the spring clip
5. Pull pipe straight out
6. Inspect:
• Pipe end smooth and clean?
• O-ring inside fitting intact?
7. If O-ring looks tired → replace it (cheap, common fix)
8. Lightly silicone grease the pipe
9. Push pipe fully home (you’ll feel it seat)
10. Refit clip fully
11. Re-pressurise system (≈1.2–1.5 bar)
12. Run boiler and check for leaks
