I think dilute 30 to 40 %.

My girlfriend says 10% and only 30 to 40% if using a spray gun.

Opinions please?

Thanks

50/50, new plaster will soak up the moisture like a sponge.

I go about 30% (guesstimating), 50:50 makes it so runny it makes a mess everywhere. That’s on Dulux trade emulsion, my go-to.

Whatever paint you use should have instructions on how to dilute for mist coats on fresh plaster. Check the tin, or the manufacturer’s website.

I have done a lot after a refurbishment we have done here .
It was summer and quite warm however, I really did not add much water as it made the paint too thin to use .
I ended up-doing it by judgement as I used about 25 litres of paint doing the whole painting job.

I don't think I ever added more than about 15 % water for the first coat.

I’ve always used this stuff, it’s brilliant and much less messy than mist coats.
