Let's imagine you're offloading a long standing student rental and have splashed out on Amazon's finest shower screen as after 26 years of students frankly the old one was grim.

Generally speaking straightforward enough, however I can't work out the logic of the sticker they provide -

Silicone at the bottom funnily enough, then sticker 16

What is that supposed to achieve?

It looks like this when offered up

It's not going to seal anything, what am I missing?!?

The junction of edges is typically badly thought out, but.theres no gap this will prevent water from getting in that matters....?

Looks like it is to just block off the hole in the top of the side rail?
Mine has a plastic chrome piece that clicks in there.
In reality won’t do a lot, if water is hitting the top there that’s the least of your problems!

It's just a sticker and look at the pic! A plastic push in bung I'd get, but it's an odd size sticker for anything in the area!!

Never seen stickers used for that area before.

I’ve installed a few over the last 3 years and they all have a plastic piece that clips in to finish the top off…
