Early ones were out at the turn of new year (Galanthus "James Blackhouse" were the first variety I photographed in full flower this year). We are in east England and also have some early daffs.

The Anglesey Abbey estate in Cambridgeshire is full of snowdrops, they have huge collection of 500 different varieties, most have been in flower for several weeks now, well worth a visit (bit far from Scotland though!) https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cambridgesh...

The snowdrops in our garden started to flower last week and locally there are quite a few we've spotted in other gardens. (Bucks)

Masses of them near us.

My next door neighbour is a bit of a collector / seller and has some very expensive (£1k plus!) specimens. Crazy.

They are a lovely flower and always a relief to see them appearing after the long dark, damp and cold months.

I'm in Edinburgh - some of ours starting flowering the week before Christmas. They are an early-flowering variety though, we have some other types that aren't out yet.

Loads in the hedgerows round here (Montgomeryshire).

For those interested in snowdrops, why not (snow!)drop into The Rocco Gardens at Painswick, Gloucestershire in the glorious landscape of the Cotswolds and Stroud's five valleys? Marvel at the plunge pool. Admire the Grotto. Eat cake in the teashop. Hang out on the lawn and see if another tree lands on a probation officer. (I should have had a career in marketing. My wife did an apprenticeship at the Rocco Gardens years ago, and it is famous amongst people who know about these things for its snowdrops.) Galanthustastic!

Yup a few out here in West Yorkshire too.

Very much dependent on aspect and position. Most in our garden are still just shoots but there's quite a few in other peoples gardens which are planted in more open positions which are now in flower.

There is lady that is encouraging them to spread along her hedge row up from me, they all have flowers on and look like a sea of white, looks lovely.
