Hi,

I have a missus who wont budge on green WC and Basin units.

The issue is that there is chaff all out there available in 600mm WC units in green.

Has anyone found a place like DIY Kitchens but for bathroom furniture?

Try Calypso; you will need to find a local plumbers trade counter that can order them in for you. Some do better prices than others (the prices in the retail brochures are massively inflated).

The carcasses themselves are all crap (and easy to custom build). The finish on the doors is the problem for DIY. The doors for back to wall toilets and recessed sinks are not something you ll get from a kitchen manufacturer and obviously you can t cut to size.

Thanks for the ideas chaps.

Definitely not a green bog/sink in 70's avocado.

I have been down to Bathroom Mountain (Three times now) in Southampton, they have a lot of options BUT they don't have 600 slim cabinets in the colours we want, all the WC cabs are 32MM deep which is too deep.

The answer is....I'll just have to go concealed and build our own tiled frame.

Need to work out how to get access though to the back of it as there is no way I'm risking that.

No ideas for a name

As an idea, I have just done two bathrooms and similarly couldn't find what I wanted.
I actually needed something non-standard to fit in the space I had available,

My solution was to get kitchen units - B&Q in my case - and cut them down to the depth I needed. Fairly straight forwards, though you do need to relocate some of the woodwork that would normally form the back rails.
This then opens up the possibility of many door options.
For the toilet unit, I took a solid flat door, and just screwed that to the cupboard carcass.

Sort of thing I was thinking about doing and then maybe a poncy bit of coloured splash back glass or something.

I've ordered the concealed geberit anyway, that was another deliberation as to whether I went grohe, them or fluid master. 100 quid with faceplate was a good deal.
