Filling gap

Had my ceiling skimmed and needed to take down double backed Plasterboarded wall.

Plasterer skimmed up to the edge of that wall but it was about 30 with the adhesive between sheets.

I thought it would be ok with the 20mm and the 10mm tile ive got coming but looks to be pushing it.

Do i put some toupret flexible filler in here then paint over?

If that's a bathroom then I'd be more inclined to mix up some actual plaster to fill the gap, smooth and sand then just finish it with a bead once tiled. There will be a lot of moisture if it is a bathroom. Ask the plasterer for some mix to save buying a big bag?

Don't forget that you will have the thickness of the tile adhesive too.

Tile it and then if there is a gap fill with grout or paintable sealant.

I'd imagine there would be reasonable voids though if there end up being gaps? It's why slinging some plaster in there as a base is probably a simple starting point.

Plasterer did the work a few weeks ago so not here.

Did think I'd have the adhesive to bridge the gap by a small amount.

I think I'll put some filler in there and see how it goes. It will be caulked eventually as well.

I would probably tile first and see what`s left, may not need too much work, you want an easily sanded filler really for those kind of repairs.
Will be tricky to get perfect.

Going to need to repaint the ceiling anyway I think as running along this line may look gash.

Thanks, I'll continue with the 10282 other first fix priorities now.
