Aldi pressure washer- worth a shot?

Hello folks

My trusty 14 year old nilfisk C110 is nearing its end of life I suspect as when not using it it will random "rev" itself and doesn't sound too healthy so not sure what's going on. Can't grumble as it's been a trooper.

I saw Aldi have one in this week for £99 with a three year warranty.

Specs look ok? Anyone got one and can comment whether it's worth a go?

There is a recent review on You Tube of this machine and it came out well, if a little noisy - worth looking it up

On previous threads the Parkside/Lidl pressure washer has got good reviews. They have it in currently.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was the same working parts

Yep I bought one 2 years ago for the wife who uses it to clean out stuff at our smallholding - works a treat. Was about 60 quid from memory

The Ferex one above looks a bit more substantial though

I dont know if other stuff will fit tbh - just bought it and she's been using it and not really thought more about it tbh....there's two lance attachments - a std one and one that kind of does rotary pulses. (She's lost that one though )

I actually got two - after trying the first and being impressed I got another for a spare. It's in the shed somewhere still in its box

I have the parkside one. Works well does all I need and with 3 year guarantee if it only does 3 years I am happy with that , suspect it will do longer. Gets used once a month.

This is the issue I have had previously when buying brands which are not Karcher or Nilfisk, can't comment on these specifically though

Before you give up on the Nilfisk it's worth checking the reed value.

The current one is the same size and price as the one in the OP, I'd have bought one, but my son gave me a Nilfisk for my birthday

Is that an easy diagnosis? It works fine otherwise- if I don't use it for 30 seconds or so it'll randomly rev up

I'm not an expert, but that sounds as if it could be the trouble. There's plenty of information on the web.
Nilfisk are a fairly well regarded brand so it may be worth repairing.

I saw that Aldi one the other day and also have a Nilfisk C110 that's almost 2 decades old now, has an electrical issue where I have to wrap the cable in a certain way or it won't work.

The hose reel on the Ferrex is a feature I'd like, but worried that my snowfoam lance wouldn't fit.

Don't be swayed by that. I have a Nilfisk with the same hose reel set up and it's actually crap (although it looks good). The hose when you unwind it, remains like a coiled spring and is a pain in the @r$e to operate. Found this out after 2 or 3 uses.
I just coil the hose into about an 18" coil and leave it laid over the top of the washer as it hangs, by the handle, from a hook from the roof interor of my shed.

One of the issues in the You Tube review was that the lance did not sync with his snow foam cannon which ISTR was a Karcher compatible item.

It's the type of budget hose found on this price point - hard plastic

The high end have like a braided rubber that is very flexible
