Looks like some sort of fibre/chip board to me.

I don't think it's asbestos, if that's what you're worried about.

Yes that was my concern, looking at it say it s wood, but was just after some peace of mind really

Either chipboard or cheap osb/plywood, there's a piece of it sticking out the side. Pretty common to board out porches
