We have a 1980 Bungalow with wooden soffits . Four years ago I rubbed down some areas and did local repainting where the paint had lifted .
I used Zinsser products after recommendation , an undercoat and a top coat .
Two years later some more had lifted so I repeated with another Zinsser product claiming to be a one coat .

Its failed again now after jet washing the gutters and soffits I need to do various areas again .
The wood is not rotten and I sand back to solid paint best I can .

Can you recommend another product that might beat two years .

Up side is as its bungalow, and I am tall , its all off a low platform, no ladders.

I'd just get it replaced or covered in plastic.

IME whatever paint you use it'll require touching up every year or two.

The Sadolin Superdec is good stuff (so is Zinnsser tbh), I did the balustrading on my decking 3 years ago and it doesn’t seem to have deteriorated much.
I’ve got to say though, soffits are quite sheltered so I’m surprised any paint has failed there; 80s build suggests 6mm ply or even asbestos!
