Scaffolding removal
Discussion
Had new windows, doors and roof trim fitted here last week. The scaffold for the roof trim was due to go up on Monday 20th, erected by a 3rd party company, yet they turned up on the 16th saying their boss had sent them. I let them crack on as I am well aware upsetting scaffolders is not a good idea! The works were all completed on Thursday 23rd around 2pm, the fitters said they have informed the office and the scaffold will come down later that day or Friday.
It's still up now. I emailed the window company who replied 'we have told the scaffolders we are finished, they will arrange removal with you'. Basically, we've finished our job, go away.
I have no contact details for the scaffold company (yes I can find them online if I have to), how long should I wait before contacting them?
I just want to be able to look at my house with all its new shiny bits, plus it makes sitting on the patio difficult and shady

Had similar when we had solar thermal panels installed. Scaffolders don't have room or like to store it then self,
They like to move if from one job to another directly, so only tend to come and collect it when they need it.
In fact had the same happen at my work, small tower inside, work was completed but they just never showed to remove it. It was right before an audit so a couple of our guys went and very slowly and carefully disassembled it and left it out in the yard.

I had one left in front of my old place (three storey) for over two months. In the end I lost patience (there were no scaff tags on it that I could find) and facilitated another local firm in removing it. Original owners of the tower noticed remarkably quickly and there was a bit of a brouhaha
However it ended up being a them problem rather than a me problem. I wouldn't advise this course of action - next time I need a house painting I will, and ought to have then, held back a portion of the final payment until the scaffold is removed. I don't mind two weeks in between jobs, but that firm took the piss frankly.
