Advice on plants/trees please

Hello all,
I have a patch of garden 3m x 4m (ish) and some chickens that need some shade.
I'm wondering if planting a couple of small trees or bush would help. What I'm looking for is:
A tree/plant that is relatively thin/bare up to about 1-1.5m (so I can get under it to retrieve/flush out said chickens)
Then goes pretty wide pretty quickly, almost like a parasol kind of affair.
Doesn't need to be particularly tall.
I'm after a relatively near-term solution, so something that would be available already similarly sized or trainable quickly, I don't want to spend 5 years waiting for it to grow.
I know very little about gardening so I'd really appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

A Mullberry tree is what you need.
Chickens like mullbery fruit.
You just need to prune it into a Standard form (prune off the lower branches.)
Protect the stem from the chickens with s bit of chicken wire until they are used to the tree
Heres some that are about 5ft tall.

A few of these would grow about 3 feet every week. (Exaggerating but it feels that fast). White flowers in October / November.
Easy to trim, the stems are squidgy, like aloe. Once trimmed at the bottom the growth tends to be at the top.
They're naturally evil - wide leaves spread out creating shade and blocking light for other plants.

Get a small chicken shelter and place a bowl of water under, Anything you plant will be dug up and your garden will look like the somme in no time at all.
