Portable air con unit recommendations.

Hello,
I'm hoping someone here can help with their own experience and guide me down the rabbit hole of portable air con units.
I have a small room that I'm trying to cool (2.2m x 2.8m x 3.6m).
Sadly, and in a rush to get something, I ended up with an Evaporator that might be able to cool a room given enough ice, time and enough patience. I have neither.
I was hoping to get something that didn't have a pipe as I was hoping to site the unit away from the window but it looks like that isn't going to work and I'll have to adjust my expectations.
Having done a BTU calculator based on a PC being in the room and an Amp the figures come back as 6000 BTU, I'd much rather go long so call it 7500 - 9000 BTU.
Could anyone make a recommendation?
