Mattress topper for firm sofa bed
Discussion
Just have a look on the John Lewis site / app. Dozens to choose from at a myriad of prices. Get yourself along to a store and have a feel to get a feel for what might work. Ask a partner in the bedding department to assist you in making the right choice for your situation. Other stores are available, but in my experience John Lewis has the product range and the staff knowledge to be genuinely helpful in situations such as these.
Made a mistake and bought a firm mattress, struggled for months so bought mattress topper from Dunelm

Chose one which regulated temperature, been comfortable ever since.

We use a panda mattress topper in our caravan but it is a challenge to roll it up (it s super king size) or you can get duvlay, this could be as a topper and quilt all in one
We did the same for our sofa bed. It helped a lot, but in the end my wife made and extra memory foam underlay and some sort of wall storage for it all (WIP - like the whole house). dobly said:

If we had a John Lewis any closer than a 2.5 hour drive we'd do exactly that, but alas...Milkyway said:
As an alternative...how about an airbed.
That could be inflated to the desired softness... & easy to store afterwards.
(Would probably fit under the sofa bed)
We have (or did have) one, never got on with it. We have the sofa bed now, just looking to make it a little more comfortable but thanks for the suggestion. That could be inflated to the desired softness... & easy to store afterwards.

Thanks - I was thinking of popping down there, which one have you got specifically? Does it make the bed much softer? How easily/compactly do you think it would fold/roll up?https://www.dunelm.com/category/home-and-furniture...
