Advice please on walkway to shed

Landscapers are in and removing everything from how previous owners left it for us. It will be a blank slate essentially

We have ordered a garden office for me to WFH. That will go in the corner where the previous shed was. Plan is to turf and pave - low maintenance. Although we don’t like Astro turf so that’s off the cards

I’m looking for advice please on how to lay it out so the grass isn’t dead in 6 months from me walking to and from the office everyday. I’ve put a GPT plan below which is a rough mock up - thanks!!

I’d go with stepping stones too, easy to mow over.

The grass won't die just from walking on it a few times a day. More of an issue getting wet/muddy feet in the winter.

So either it's a pair of 'garden shoes' used purely to walk to work and back, stepping stones or a full paved path.

Personally I'd go for the fully paved path. Looks better, slightly less maintenance and easier to clean.

I would choose rectangular stepping stones, to match the patio. Outlined in pale aggregate.

You'd be better off running a proper path down either the left hand side between the border & the lawn or maybe better still adding another border on the right hand side to give more interest to the garden & having the path that side. Do you need a shed to house the mower etc? That hidden rectangle of lawn could suffer from lack of light & the grass might struggle.

Exactly what I was thinking. You could have uplights each side of the path as well if you wanted.

If you move the patio furniture you'd have enough of a run up to jump to the shed. You'd need to leave the door open however...
