Adhesive for a dodgy lvt floor?

TLDR what's the best adhesive to stick lvt click flooring to plywood?

I layed this moduleo lay red click lvt flooring about 3 years ago and it's developed a bouncy spot just in the area directly in front of the patio doors. It's spot on everywhere else so I'm suspecting it heat or UV exposure that's done it.

Had the guy round that I bought it off (lives local) and basically said because his fitters didn't fit it the "lifetime warranty" would almost certainly be wiggled out of.

Then got one of his fitters round for a look and he couldn't see a reason for it to lift either and suggested it needing lifting to check the sub floor which is timber clad on plywood.

I've lifted a few tiles and the sub floor is perfect, just as I fitted it. The tiles I've lifted have developed a distinct warp unfortunately.

Difficult to picture but here you go.





So I don't think I'll get anywhere with a warranty, the floor is discontinued anyway so the only real option is to re lay and stick these ones down.

But what adhesive to use....any recommendations.?

What sort of expansion gap did you leave before?

Correct gap both sides. Floor it spot on everywhere else, just warped on front of the patio doors.

When we looked at this, we didn’t buy it as the shop guy said it wasn’t warranted or recommended near glazed doors as it warps in strong sunlight……

Ha...that ship has sailed! I wasn't advised that at all and the marketing material says it's suitable for kitchens and everywhere else etc.

There's no solving the fact it's a bit fkd...I just need to glue it and weight it down for 24 hrs. I think I know what glue to get I'm just wondering if there something out there that's bullet proof.

Use the stuff for karndean or amtico

If you glue it down though it won't be able to expand/contract as normal. I think this sort of LVT needs to be floating.

Maybe something like FBall Styccobond F48 PLUS (aka F48+)

Yeah I know but my options are extremely limited given it's no longer available (not even on eBay). Plan is to try and stick it down and if it fails it'll need to come up.

I've gone for F49. It appears to be similar to F48 in that you can use in areas that get hot but has a much longer working time, which I need when trying to jiggle it all back in and get it weighed down.

But yeah, my research led me to that fball set of products.

Had this exact thing by a sunny patio door. Used spray contact adhesive on the subfloor and back of the plank. Weighed it down with sandbags for 24 hours. Held for 2 years now.

To bring this to a thrilling conclusion.

I ended up beig given a tub of this stuff to use by the place a I bought the flooring from, basically use what you need and give it back.



It's reassuringly expensive stuff and nearly £100 a tub.

Anyway, it took a bit of fekin about and a lot of swearing but it all went back down fine. I used several plastic laundry baskets sat on boards and filled with water to weigh it down. All seems flat and stable. For now!
