Hello all

This is the last area of the garden now to complete. Something about it just doesnt look right

Ideally wanting

Brick bbq area
Much bugger pergola (wooden) current 3.5m x 3.5m

Was maybe thinking about concreting the whole thing.

Thanks

Do NOT do that!!

I think an aluminium Pergola with blinds would make the seating area much more usable. It'll be the perfect place to sit and enjoy the flowers/plants on the rockey, maybe add in a water feature. Some Perennials around the edging/lawn would finish things nicely.

Try playing with some AI tools, but you have loads of potential in the space.

I use Copilot mainly, but plenty of other AI tools around.

I see "grey" has made it into the garden :-)

I'd ungravel the large area and relawn it. Lift up the slab path and make it match the other patch gravel with the same border. Maybe add the shade pergola think as suggested. That or a high quality cantilerver parasol.

Not sure about the BBQ building - I think they are a bit naff. I'm very much into BBQing but never felt the need for a "shack", but, I know they are popular.

Subtle use of low brightness LED lighting can be very effective. We've got them spiralled round our apple and pear trees. Not too much though. I like to look at the night sky, but we do live very remotely.

Yes. It's a garden not a car park.

Lose the grass, or some of it and plant some evergreens and bright flowers to combat the grey. smile

How about a big chicken topiary and some ornamental eggs.

You'll be the envy of all your neighbours.

Maybe.
