Hi all,

Does anybody know of any high street/online retailers that have Portable Air Con units in stock?

I’ve spent last 2 weeks looking for some but not even Amazon have any in stock!

I keep looking but there's never any in stock and I imagine wont be for months now. The supply chain will be empty.

I got the air con re-gassed in my £1600 shed Qashqai 2 weeks ago though and it held beautifully and is still icy cold after some time which is what I was more worried about. I'll have to drive about more to stay cool if it gets really grim again

Been looking for weeks now. I can't get hold of one, let alone the 4 we would need to cover all the offices/rooms we have.

Guess it’s something we need to think about at Christmas?

I was talking to an aircon installer today. They're booked up to August just for site visits - I suggested they might like to get some portable units to rent out for emergencies and they said there weren't any. Seems they were right!

But portable units are very noisy; better to get proper aircon installed if you can afford it.

Now wouldn't it be nice if our dear caring Government gave grants for aircon rather than loft insulation and ASHPs!
