Anyone else with a field or pasture use this with success?

Last week I spent a combined 2.5 hours going round our 4 acre field with hand shears cutting all the thistles down before they flower and set seed- I do not intend on doing the same next year!

This product seems to be a common one for spot controlling thistles and docks etc. but at £65 a pop it better bloody work.

Yes, with a knapsack and quad based sprayer. It works quickly and effectively, better than glyphos on nettles.

It has a high dilution rate so the small can goes a long way.

I use Thrust usually, but it's similar to Grazeon. Yes, they work well (obv need right kit and PPE).

It’s easy to use as it doesn’t harm grass so you don’t need to be too selective. Very fast and effective on nettles, pretty good on thistles and other assorted broad leafed stuff.

Would you be brave enough to use it on a lawn?

Given our rural location, dock is common and does make its way into the grass.

Yep, maybe try it on the field first but it generally seems pretty harmless to grass.

Well, yes, but it doesn't exactly come up as a lawn weedkiller so wasn't sure if it was geared towards being ok with only tougher grasses typical in fields and pastures vs. a fine lawn grass.

You could ask their technical department; they should have trials data. Or just try a small area first.

Field sprayed this morning, took bloody ages but it beats chopping the thistles with a pair of shears. Blue dye added to the tank was very helpful and I'd say it's a must if you're covering a large area.

Has anyone tried this with any success on goutweed?

We have a patch of grass with a fair bit so I've sprayed a small patch to test in the hope it kills it. Glyphosate does the job but not wanting to use that for obvious reasons.

Looks to be true, large nettle looking worse for wear in just a few hours-



Never seen a 'root kill' product act that fast.
