Monoblock Air Con - any good? Noisy?

Does anyone have a monoblock air con unit fitted? If so I'd be grateful if you could please share your experience. I'm especially interested in how noisy they are.

I have one fitted at my holiday property. The fan is noisy compared to the split systems I have at home but not as noisy a pedestal fan would be.

I have this one. They’re effective I’ve found but fairly noisy. But I can sleep with it on no problem when it’s 27c otherwise!

Just be aware it needs two holes which look small on the photos are much bigger than you’d think!

But if it’s you’re only option then it’s FAR better than nothing.

That s what I paid for mine in 2023.

As the poster above says, the holes are about 170mm so you need a meaty drill to drive a core drill that size.

Thanks all

We have decided to get normal split air con fitted however as installers are stowed off at the moment we'll get it done in April next year ready for the summer. In the meantime I've bought a couple of tower fans to see us through this summer.
