Parking line demarcation markings/paint recommendations req

Can anyone recommend a durable paint for parking line demarcation?

I tried some "Everbuild Trafficline Permanent Marking Spray Paint" - however it's faded badly inside of a year despite good surface prep.

If paint is a bad idea, can anyone suggest any other methods that are easy to apply?

Only 'hard' bit was marking out the spacing (2.3M we used) and making sure the lines were straight. Other than that, piece of piss.

Thermoplastic tape and a blow torch is how the pro's do it quickly and easily.

If you go with the tack paint, make sure it dries sufficiently before going at it with a blow torch !

The first line we did we didn't let it dry enough and the tack paint set alight making the pristine white line a little black in places

We learned quickly after that !

I hadn't realised it was done by "melting" the tape into the tarmac. Clever. Is that how sharp lines on a tennis court, indoors and outdoors (tarmac) are done too?

Excellent - thanks for this.

Fortunately our bays are already marked out - but not sure what to do with the remaining (badly faded) paint - burn it off I guess?

2.4m is the standard UK parking space size, often now increased to 2.6 as cars are getting bigger - At 2.3 you are a tight arse

I know but constrained by the terms of our lease (5 spaces) and other people on the business park who's parking adjoins ours.
We have an issue with people parking in our spots that are needed, so my staff are getting moany about it. So we marked up the spaces and same-keyed bollards are going in at the end of the week.

The Promain web page suggests using the black tape to cover over old marks.

We did ours at 3.0m outside the workshop and people still can’t fking park in them!
