Dyson cordless dust problem
Discussion
I ve got an older Dyson handheld cordless vacuum. I have to use a special bit of cardboard each time to scrape the excess dust that collects around the top purple bit - does everyone else have this problem?
I can t leave it as I assume the efficiency of all their spinney spinney blollocks depends on this being clear. I have previously disassembled the whole thing and cleaned.
Do they all do this? See pic for what I m on about, it congregates each time.

we've got a similar issue but a different model,
I stripped it right down the other day and gave it a good clean,
quite a bit of dust and crap came out of the cyclone bit but after putting it all back together the suction is still pants,
I'm about ready for chucking it in the bin and getting something else
waste of 600 quid
I cannot remember what model Dyson we had but it was the same purple colour from about 8 years ago. We had three batteries expire on ours - two replaced under warranty and the last we got a cheap Chinese copy, which lasted longer but probably only 18 months. All in it lasted almost 3 years and cost something like £450.
Our Dyson did gather dust there too, so a decent strip and clean would alleviate it for a couple of months. Cannot remember the hoops I would jump through.....
Eventually gave up on the expensive piece of crap and bought a shark hand held which is still going strong after about 5 years abuse (cat and dog hair and kids) .... Far superior.

Yeah they re silly money. This one was given to me as non working by my sister, a new ebay Chinese special battery and it s fine. But I do hate Dyson
Two months ago I upgraded our 8 year old V6 (looks much like yours) It now runs off my Makita 5ah batteries that last well over an hour and has more suck than when it was new. While I was at it I also changed the worn out head which has wheels, larger brush head and even the LED headlights
