Long term storage boxing
Discussion
I've just finished a DIY refit on my bathroom and have absolutely stacks of things bought for the job I'll never likely use unless doing another one or the ensuite soon.
What options exist for storage? Maybe I need to inventory this stuff as it's an endless list e.g. Pressure test gauges, specialised tools/screws/fittings, I could go on.
I don't just want to throw all sht in one box and end up giving up on finding the things and then ordering it again (Like I have done of the last few months a few times lol).

The Really Useful Box company do a massive range of sizes that fit standard dimension cupboards, shelves and drawers. I've got labelled up boxes for all sorts of things in kithcen cabitents in the utility room; chargers, USB C cables, non-USB C cables, glues, decorating materials, glass treatments, batteries new and used etc etcWhat options exist for storage? In my upstairs office I have them for paperwork and stationary in the cupbard shelving and all sorts of smaller things in the drawers.
They come in all shapes and sizes.

Use clear Really Useful boxes & put a list of what is in each box so you can read it from the outside.
I find 3 / 9 / 32 / 64 litre boxes are my "go to". And get some decent branded duct/gaffer tape in white and Sharpies so it's all labelled well.If it needs to breathe, supermarket bale arm crates are good, they are easily found in 400x300 and 300x200 sizes, but don't have lids.

Another recommendation for these boxes, had most of mine for years, they re very good.I'm a big fan of the big IKEA "Samla" plastic crates. I like them because they're all multiples of each other's sizes so different sizes stack really nicely. You can also get clips to help hold the lids shut if needed.
Right now, I'm clearing out my house in advance of some extensive DIY work, so I have piles of these in the garage filled with books. They're strong enough to carry that kind of weight even when stacked taller than me. The tops are locked down and there's a desiccant bag in each box so here's hoping the books survive the winter!!
The only negative I can offer is that they are not UV resistant and will go brittle if left outside in direct sunlight for too long.
