One of my interlinked smoke alarms has given up the ghost.

Unfortunately they’ve been discontinued so I can’t just buy one as a replacement.

I’m assuming you can’t buy another even by the same maker and just wire it in and instead I’ll have to replace the whole lot?

It’s just a case of using the existing wiring tho isn’t it?

3 wire 240v mains interlinked are usually cross brand compatible, so dont stress it should be fine. get one the same size or slightly larger as the ceiling might look st otherwise.
wireless and low voltage are often proprietary and cant be miked but mains are fine.

They are not expensive, and may of them have a finite life.
I replaced all ours, apart from the thermal one in the kitchen.
The thermal one can be tested with a hair dryer.

When you test any of them, you should notice that the interlinking works.
