Experts of the pistonheads forum. We have a conservatory with LVT flooring down (glued) over the last week when we empty a full sink water starts leaking from the floor.
It’s appears to be coming up from floor where the sink/drain goes into the floor. Taken up a section and has a red hard base there and cannot see a drain.
Any advise what trade I need to get into see why this is happening. Had a plumber out and they mentioned it’s needs a 4inch pipe (waste) under the ground which ours doesn’t have and should because of the conservatory. and the floor needs digging up.
TIA

The plumber is correct that any drainage laid below ground needs to be a minimum of 4 . If yours is less than this, which it sounds like it is, then it will be inaccessible for clearing blockages as you ve now found out.
Unfortunately it sounds like you will need a builder as the floor may need to come up and the job redoing properly.

It has only just started it but we haven’t lived in the property long. He did say where the normal drain comes out the wall from the sink there isn’t a 4inch.Unfortunately it sounds like you will need a builder as the floor may need to come up and the job redoing properly.

If the conservatory wasnt there we would have a metal square grate and the pipe would go into this but it looks like when the section of floor was up there is some boarding then below that is like tin foil type stuff and then red shiny concrete type material.
So sounds like we need a builder to dig a section
Up and install a 4inch pipe.
