This link was shared with me thiswayup.com which looks to be a property site with a bit of a different angle to the usual portals / agent sites.
Rather than listing for sale, the idea seems to be you can drop a "pin" on any home (yours or someone else's) to register interest, leave a message for the owner once verified, or pay to have them send a physical postcard to the property with a unique code so the owner can pick up your message. There's also a "register your property" function that checks Land Registry to verify ownership, plus an agents' portal.
On one hand it's a novel way to approach an owner directly about a property you like the look of, without an agent in the middle, ringing round or waiting for something to appear on Rightmove…and without mail-shotting a street (something my wife did, successfully, 20 years ago…). On the other, I can see people being a bit wary about people dropping pins on their house and having unsolicited postcards…but it’s still less annoying than the untargeted agent spam I get several times a week.

off or ignored and their postcard filed in the bin. It's not aimed at houses for sale. It's to try and get people thinking about selling when they believe their is a specific person interested in the house.
It's currently running quite successfully in a couple of cities in Australia.
