Best patio algae cleaner
Discussion
Has anyone tried the various different options and compared how long they can keep slabs clean?
Our back patio is very shady so I know that will reduce the time it stays clean but I’ve now used Algon organic twice and it’s only lasted around 3 months most recently. I’d have thought it could have lasted longer than that through the summer, especially after I gave it a proper soak.
I can get 10 litres for £28 but curious about the other options.

Sodium Hypochlorite (15%) from Amazon if its really bad. Its the only thing that touched the while alge on my block drive. You can water it down a bit if you want.
I roller it on to make sure it only goes where I want it. Don't let it run off onto any grass/flowerbeds.
Sodium Hypochlorite is Bleach, but 15% is way stronger than household strength.

+1 for household bleach, but I only use it as a 1% solution.
100ml in a 10ltr bucket of warm water, slosh it over the patio and brush it about with a stiff brush. The runoff onto the lawn doesn't kill the grass due to the low concentration.
Leave it a few days and the patio looks like new.
