I want to stop concrete dust coming up from the floor of my garage. Does anyone please have any recommendations of products to use or to avoid? I am wanting to DIY by brushing it in/ on using a soft sweeping brush.

The area is large (>100m2) so the amount I need for two coats is quite pricey. The surface is quite mixed in nature - some is many years old, whilst other areas are c. 18 months old. All surfaces are clean but the older areas produce plenty of dust which I am tiring of sweeping up. Thank you for any replies.

You could use 'exterior PVA'.
I've found this to work quite well, dilute a lot let it soak in, lash on more.
It will need the concrete and weather to be dry enough for it to cure.

I've also used a water based polyurethane floor varnish to good effect, my mate gave me about 5 litres of it which was a little 'bitty' for use on indoor oak floors.

Way back, I used diluted cheap gloss paint, that worked to bind the loose dust, it wore off the peaks of the gravel bits of the concrete but did the job of laying the dust.

My fear would be doing half a job with something that prevented a proper product from adhering.

Yep, diluted PVA glue works well and is super cheap.

A soft brush is good at moving dust around. You will need to use a vacuum to really get the dust up. PVA may work, but if it doesn't getting it removed to lay something else on is a PITA bite the bullet get the Everbuild product already posted. Everbuild are part of the SIKA group one of the leading concrete admixture suppliers in the world. It was the product I would recommend and use when I was in the industry.

Preparation is the key though (follow the Everbuild instructions)
