Another "what do I search for" question.

My garage doors are heavy wood opening sideways. I want to restrict the opening of one side.

The restrictors I've found when looking are all 90 degree. I want to open the door much further than that though. I need a limit to stop it hitting the charger on the wall if the wind got it and blew it right back 180 degrees.

I know what I want, but can't find it.

It's a bar/rod fixed to the door that slides through a bush on the frame with a stopper on the bar. You'd sometimes see a version which would lock into the open position by a spring that would be released by puling down on a cord. I just can't seem to find them when looking.

What do I need to search for?

TIA

I think you have it right (like this?) albeit just need one that opens beyond the 90 degree point.

Worth reading the ChatGPT transcript to see how it figured it out.
