What is this plant ?

Got this plant in the garden of our new house that is now in the way of the garden furniture my wife has just bought. I brushed against it, and it seems to be a bit sticky and itchy, so obviously now needs some severe trimming.So, PH gardeners, what is it and will it leave a horrible sticky mess in my car if take the trimmings to the tip ? Edit: Yes I know. The artificial grass is horrible and is on the list of things to do.

Common name is the rock rose I believe, very attractive flowers throughout the summer,, don’t like being pruned too hard

I never spotted that; it actually looks - from your photo - like a golf green!

It is very green and seems to be very cheap !
