Planning my new extension which has a roof terrace above my new kitchen ... The architect has specified 3/4" ply with waterproof membrane and I intend to put porcelain tiles sat in spacers like

https://surface360.co.uk/applications/roof-terrace...

But how do I edge to make sure the ply underneath doesn't suck in water ..... a stainless strip ??? Any practical experience appreciated

It's your Architects job to specify that detail or at least it should be - either way refer it back to them

But it's someone else's job to actually put it together to keep the water out.

Of course, but it's the Architects job to specify how it is to be done - the word 'Architect' literally means 'chief builder'
