Furnishing an entire house quickly
Discussion
I need to entirely furnish a 3-bed townhouse in the south east before 30 November with reasonable quality furniture. Better than Ikea and it needs ideally to be pre-assembled, unless I hire a handyman for a few days to put it all together.
Wayfair aside, has anyone any suggestions where I can achieve this?
TIA.

Does it have to be brand new stuff? If not, local charity warehouse furniture place. British Heart Foundation have some decent stuff.
Yes it does. My family and I will be living in it. Furthermore, I haven't time to drive down there and start scouring the charity shops.PM3 said:

I think you are going to struggle because sellers of better quality brand new furniture typically manufacture to order and don't have everything sitting around in warehouses.
This is the issue. The last time I did this I found a sofa at Sofa Workshop that had been made to order and cancelled. I don't think they exist anymore.Beds I can make do with. There are plenty of shaker style bases ready made and mattresses are simple enough. Worst case scenario, we could but a mattress directly on the floor for a few weeks.
I would get an interior designer to do it for you.
My in laws did this once - she basically managed everything - did the basic design and layout and then supervised the delivery of everything and then bought stuff like bedding from John Lewis and everything was set up. She was basically running round for 2 weeks getting stuff, lamps, pictures, bedding, towels etc etc etc. Just gave her a key and that was it.
Not cheap, but it actually turned out really nice.

I can well imagine that the sofas have all the comfort of a park bench. But they would do for now.
Long shot - Ercol outlet or similar: https://www.ercol.com/en-gb/our-company/ercol-outl...
How about finding someone who does "staging" of properties for sale? Maybe they'll have the connections and resources needed to furnish the house quickly and sell you the stuff rather than just put it in there temporarily as would be the case if it was being staged for the sale period?

You could consider a furniture rental company like "Bradbeers" who may also have an option to buy after the period of rental.
